Cali the Hound Lab Mix

Hound Lab Mix

From Casey: Cali is a hound Labrador Retriever mix… we think. She has a very distinct chest, almost like a boxer. Small frame, wrinkly forehead but not boxy like a boxer, She always has her nose to the ground like a hound dog, and her tail curves like a “c,”. She chews a lot. She is only 8 months old.

I am curious to get everyone’s opinion. The people I rescued her from said she was a pit/husky mix. I can’t say I see either. Maybe more pit, but definitely not husky. Anyone have any suggestions as to what they think she may be. Her eyes match her coat. I was thinking lab/hound? Thank you.

I have recently adopted a mix from a local rescue. She is about 9 months old. Looks VERY much like yours. I just got her DNA report back. She is golden/boxer/ little bit of spaniel. Mine also has the large chest, nose to the gorund, sweetest dog EVER!!Top of her obedience class (at this point)Would love to include photo but don’t know how.DNA kits can be ordered on line. Very simple to do

Your dog looks very similar to my dog. She is a american fox hound mixed with a lab retriever. Very well behaved dog and very smart!

      Hi Megan,
I was just doing research and I think that mine may be an American fox hound/ lab mix. Do you have a picture? I would like to add one, I am just not sure how.

hi I am new to this site, but I just wanted to say your puppy looks just like mine. Her name is Patsy and she is one years old. She is very sweet and very curiuose about everything and nose to the ground however she does love to chew my couch has a hole in it to prove the chewing I was wondering if this is in there breed to do or does anyone know how to stop the chewing. They are very loving and loyal to the family. I love her very much and so does my 11 year old
