American Pit Bull Terrier Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix

Mix an American Pit Bull Terrier with a Catahoula Leopard Dog and you will have a bright, energetic litter of puppies. I reckon folks up north wouldn’t recognize this guy but in the area where Catahoulas reign from, quite a few people would see that hound mixed in with that bull breed.

I also have an American Pit Bull Terrier and Catahoula Leopard dog mix. He is absolutely gorgeous, like your baby. Enjoy him!

I rescued a 4 month old female puppy in Seattle that is a close match for the dog in this photo, although her eyes are closer set, and brown spots more prominent which reflects the Catahoula more. She’s a great dog and taking to training well.

I have a rescued pit/catahoula mix, named Max. The vet tells us, he is now about 8 and 1/2 months old. He is still looking very thin, to us. He is fed according to what the vet tells us-about 1 and 1/2 cups in the morn and the same at night. He also gets the occasional milk bone.He gets a good amount of exercise too, as our yard is fenced and we also have a female Black Lab. He seems pretty sweet, yet stubborn as hell.He has also not been neutered yet. The few issues he seems to have are :-1-bolts out the front door whenever it opens,2- gobbles his food to the point that he doesn’t chew it and seems starving all the time and 3 wants to eat everything of hers and does not want to listen or stay, where he should, while anyone else is eating. We are hoping that neutering may curb, some of these bad habits. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. We have had our Lab, since she was 8 weeks and she is smart, extremely gentle and loyal, as well as loving, but is also now 10. She did not seem nearly, as tricky/frustrating to train… Any Ideas. Thanks a lot.
