Pug dogs are well know. You don’t hear much about Basenji’s, in fact you don’t hear them at all….they don’t have a bark. The Basenji breed is an ancient breed from Africa. They were used for hunting and since they were silent, hunters would tied dried gourds to their neck to get some sound to follow in the hunt. So who out there wouldn’t love a puggish dog that can hunt but can’t bark about it?
