Houdini looks almost exactly like a dog I know named Maryland BY FAR the smartest dog I have ever met. The second smartest dog I have ever met does not even come close to how smart this dog is. This Maryland dog is probably smarter than a lot of humans I know. The dog is so smart it is CREEPY.
We adopted a border collie shepard at the humane in butte eleven years ago. she lived eleven years 4 months she was a sweetheart of a dog. Very good personality very gentle dog and dont bite anyone. She liked her rides and her running though and lots of walking. she was a wonderful dog!!!! Now we are looking for another one simaler to her.
This looks so much like my dog. She’s a mystery, although she’s at least part German Shepherd. She’s crazy smart too.
He looks almost EXACTLY like our dog, Vida. We rescued her from a shelter last year and know nothing about her breed.
We haven’t seen another dog that looks anything like her until we found yours! Vida is incredibly smart and loves to fetch and run and go for drives. She is also the sweetest thing and isn’t the least bit aggressive. She is the perfect dog…except one thing: she sheds like mad! I was wondering if yours does too?
My dog looks so much like this one! We rescued her from Bulgary about 4 months ago, so we had no idea what kind of mix she was. But I’m pretty convinced we do know now so thanks. She’s not that smart though..and bit clumbsy but the sweetest dog alive today 🙂
Oh and she smells wonderfull 😉
Houdini is beautiful!! My baby girl Sasha looks just like this, but with floppy ears. Even the way Houdini’s face is shaped and the markings… Wow!! Sasha is super intelligent and so eager to please — LOVE THIS MIX!!!! =)
PS jon and misty — mine sheds soooo much too!! lol. especially when she is nervous (around tall men — bad past as well I presume) she blows her undercoat… poor thing
Yeah, Nugget, our dog, is almost a replica of Houdini. She loves to run and catch frisbees and balls… Lots and lots of energy and a little mischievous (especially when mom and dad can’t stimulate her brain) but she’s highly trainable, very personable and very smart.
Houdini looks just like my Abby… we have been trying to figure out her breed and thanks to this I think we have figured it out. He is a little bigger then her but they look exactly alike.
I have a bitch that is the same mix 1,5 years old. beautyfull and intelligent. she loves agility and is a perfect family dog. cant find a better best friend 🙂
Wow! I have the same story as the rest, my dog Obi looks identical to Houdini! And he is so smart too! He learns new tricks in a day, and is exactly like the others, loves car rides, un aggressive to a fault, loving, and sheds alittle too much. But we’ve started keeping his hair shorter by having him shaved when his hair gets long, and that’s seemed to help with the shedding.
I actually have a breed of this exact same mix. He is 50% German Shepherd, and then the other have is mixed between a Border Collie and a Labrador. The DNA test said he is a little more Border Collie than Labrador, but he carried on the little bit of Labrador that he was in appearance. He is black and has some white strands on his paws, tail and chest. His ears are floppy but his build looks like your dog. His tail curls upwards but not tightly curled, but his facial features carry on the German Shepherd look. Onyx is quite the character.
