Deegan is adorable. He looks just like my dog but mine has white markings. We were told she is a mix of Australian Kelpie and Cattle Dog mix. We purchased a magazine with a Pharoah Hounds in it and I possibly still believe she might have some of that breed in her. Pharoah Hounds are rare here, and so are some of the Kelpie breed. There great dogs. Love the pic.

Pharaoh hounds are actually rare here as well. There is only a few found in the whole state. When I was going to rescue Deegan, I was told he was a red-nose pit bull, border collie mix. After watching him for the first couple of weeks, I came to the conclusion that my rescue wasn’t a pit bull at all. When I researched personality traits, I believe he must be a Pharaoh hound mix. <3

Have you found out any more information on what your dog might be mixed with. Our puppy Scout looks just like Deegan! We always thought her to be a vizsla mix but the more I look at pharaoh hounds I think she may be mixed with that. I wish I could post a picture in here so I could show you our little girl.

This looks exactly like my rescue! We were told he was a red-nose pit bull mix as well. But, his markings and personality definitely give him away as a pharaoh hound german shepherd mix!
