Seamus the Great Dane Saint Bernard Mix

From Eric: Seamus is a Saint Bernard Great Dane mix. Or a Great Saint or Saint Dane or a Great Bernard if you like.  He is 36 inches at the shoulder; 220 lbs. He has the height of a standard great dane and the general body shape except for the head where he is definitely more St. Bernard. When the original Mastiff breed was failing you can see why they used these two breeds to revitalize it as he looks as much like a Mastiff (except in color) as he does either of his two parent breeds. He has one of the most low-key, subdued and affectionate personalities of any dog I have ever owned. Anyone with an Irish Wolfhound mix: I would be interested in crossing him.

I have some good pictures of the recliner I lost when he was teething at six months. :)

What a beautiful dog! Teething is something I’m not looking forward to! My puppy will not be nearly as big as your dog, but considering his breed(s)(http://www.allmutt.com/american-pit-bull-terrier/bandit-the-rottweiler-american-pit-bull-terrier-mix/), I know it’s going to be a rough experience! What do you feed him? How much food does he go through in a week?

I have a male who is currently 5 months and weighs 93 pounds. How much was your male at 5 months?

I am interested in exchanging pictures. Your male is absolutely gorgeous.

My 8 month old great dane (merle female) is madly in love with our neighbors saint bernard and since we wanted to breed her with another great dane we were so scared she would breed with him but after seeing this beautiful dog im convinced i would have to keep one!
